Roco Kingdom Legendary Jinies: Confirmed Names and Status
The three documented Roco Kingdom legendaries, their translated names, story roles and why capture details are still unconfirmed.
Quick answer: three legendary-tier Jinies are consistently documented in the Chinese build — Dragonbreath Pal (Longxi Pa'er), Palsas (Pa'ersasi) and Holyfeathers Wing King (Shengyu Yiwang). None of them has an officially confirmed English name, and the global beta does not expose a "legendary" label in the dex. Treat the translated names on this page as descriptions, not as the names you will see at launch.

Why Legendary Data Is Thin
Roco Kingdom does not sort its dex by rarity. There is no legendary filter, no separate box, and no published rarity tiers. What the community calls "legendary" is a mix of three things:
- Story bosses that cannot be caught on the first encounter
- One-per-save species that return in a later chapter
- Lord-tier variants with unique elements and higher base stats
That ambiguity is why English coverage disagrees about how many legendaries exist. The Chinese build has a clearer internal hierarchy, but Tencent has not translated it into the global UI.
The official global site has not introduced any legendary by name. The names here are literal translations of the Chinese names, kept so you can match them against videos and the Chinese wiki.
The Three Documented Legendaries
| Chinese name | Working English name | Element (CN build) | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Longxi Pa'er | Dragonbreath Pal | Dragon | Story antagonist turned capture target |
| Pa'ersasi | Palsas | Dragon / Havoc | Evolved or alternate form of the above |
| Shengyu Yiwang | Holyfeathers Wing King | Wing / Light | Sky guardian tied to the Holyfeathers Temple |
The Holyfeathers link is the strongest localization clue on this page: the global build already names a region Holyfeathers Temple and a Holyfeathers Shrine, which matches shengyu, the Chinese term for holy feather, exactly. That does not confirm the creature's English name, but it confirms the localization team is using the same root.
Where They Appear
- Dragonbreath Pal is tied to the Dragon story arc and the Giant's Canyon region. The canyon has two spawn zones with the largest recorded species counts in the game, which fits a late-game area.
- Palsas appears in the same arc as an escalation. In the Chinese build it is associated with a sealed form and a later rematch.
- Holyfeathers Wing King is tied to the Holyfeathers Temple in the eastern map. The temple is a landmark rather than a spawn zone, so the encounter is scripted rather than random.
The map guide lists the spawn zones, and the regions guide groups the landmarks by province.
Are They Catchable?
In the Chinese build, yes — after the associated story arc and usually after a multi-stage trial. The global beta does not have the full story, so the capture step is not reachable in the test. That means:
- No confirmed catch rate
- No confirmed ball requirement
- No confirmed level
- No confirmed post-capture form
Any guide that gives a ball count for these three is quoting the Chinese build. It may be right at launch, but it is not testable now.
Lord-Tier Variants Are Not Legendaries
The beta does have territorial lords — powerful fixed-spawn Jinies such as Molimiao and the Flame Berserker — that drop lord bloodline, perfect eggs and evolution materials. They are rare and they are hard, but they are a separate system from the story legendaries. The bosses guide covers their mechanics and drops without turning into a strategy page.
The distinction matters because lord bloodline is used for special evolutions, while the story legendaries are not evolved at all.
What to Watch For at Launch
The global launch build will likely add:
- A rarity or "mythical" tag in the dex
- A dedicated legendary page on the official site
- English names that may differ from the translations here
- A story chapter that gates each encounter
Until then, the safest reference is the dex number. The full Jini index lists all 465 entries, and the legendaries sit at the high end of the numbering.
