Roco Kingdom Multiplayer: Co-op, PvP and Shared Worlds

Roco Kingdom multiplayer explained: co-op parties, shared worlds, PC-mobile progress, Chinese PvP rules and what the beta leaves out.

Last Updated: 2026-10-27

Quick answer: Roco Kingdom is an online game with co-op party play, a shared open world, and PvP in the Chinese build. The global test supports co-op and account-linked progress across PC and mobile. It does not support player-to-player trading, and Tencent has not published the party size or the PvP season structure for the global version.

What Is Confirmed

Feature Status Notes
Online requirement Yes The game is always online
Co-op party Yes Party play in the open world
Shared world Yes Other players appear in the same zone
PC↔mobile progress Yes, in test Same account required
Cross-platform parties Not confirmed No public demonstration
PvP Chinese build Global test does not expose ranked PvP
Player trading No See the trading guide
Guilds / clans Not confirmed No global UI

The pattern is that the social layer exists, but the competitive and economic layers are held back for launch.

Co-op Play

Co-op is drop-in rather than lobby-based. You form a party, and party members appear in your world, can help with wild battles and can enter the same story instances. Progress counts for the party leader's story; members get rewards but not the chapter completion.

That last rule is the one to know before you accept an invite. If you join a friend's chapter, you will not advance your own story, and you may need to replay the instance later.

Co-op is best used for:

  • Farming wild spawns in a dense zone
  • Taking on a territorial lord together
  • Clearing research collections faster
  • Showing a new player around without carrying their story
Party first, story later

Do the story chapter solo, then party up for the farming. That way nobody loses chapter credit.

The Shared World

Zones are shared instances, not personal copies. Other players are visible, and crowded zones can affect spawn availability. The beta does not have a "private mode", and there is no way to turn off other players outside of a party.

Tencent has not published a channel or shard system, so it is unclear whether the game switches to new instances when a zone fills. If you cannot find a friend in the same zone, re-logging usually puts you in the same shard.

PvP in the Chinese Build

The live Chinese version has a PvP ladder with level normalisation: stats are scaled so that a lower-level team is not automatically deleted. That is a design choice aimed at making PvP about composition and elements rather than grind.

What that means for global players:

  • The type chart will matter more than raw levels.
  • A team built around one element will be easy to counter.
  • The global test does not let you practise this, so the first PvP season will be a learning curve.

Tencent has not announced whether the global version will use the same normalisation.

Cross-Platform and Cross-Progression

Progress syncs between PC and mobile on one account. That is cross-progression, not cross-play: there is no shared PC-versus-mobile matchmaking, and no cross-platform party has been shown publicly.

The practical benefit is device switching. Start a session on PC, continue on a phone, keep the same collection. The limit is account linking: a Steam login and a Google Play login are separate accounts unless linked in advance. The platforms guide covers the linking rules.

What Is Missing Compared to Other Creature Games

  • No trading — see the trading page for what replaced it
  • No guild system — no clan hall, no guild bosses
  • No raid queue — lords are open-world, not instanced matchmaking
  • No global chat channels — communication is friends and party only
  • No player-run shops — vendors are NPCs

That is a deliberately smaller social surface than the genre norm. Tencent may add layers at launch, but nothing has been announced.

A Practical Co-op Checklist

  • Link both devices to one account before you travel.
  • Do story chapters solo, farm in a party.
  • Agree on a lord target before you start; respawn timers are per world.
  • Keep one party slot open for a friend who is behind on story.
  • Do not expect to hand over items — there is no trade window.
