Roco Kingdom Money Guide: How to Earn Fast
How to earn money in Roco Kingdom: quest rewards, selling collectibles, the travelling merchant and a simple daily route for the beta.
Quick answer: early money comes from main quests, not from farming spots. Finish the story chain, sell duplicate collectibles instead of hoarding them, and check the travelling merchant when you are in town. There is no player-to-player trading and no premium currency in the beta, so you cannot buy your way past a grind — and you should not try, because the test is wiped.

Every coin and item disappears at the wipe. Earn enough to test systems, not enough to brag. Do not spend real money on any "currency service" — the game has no player trading.
What Money Is For
Roco Coins pay for consumables, crafting materials, cosmetic options and the travelling merchant's stock. They do not buy Jinies, levels or gacha pulls — Tencent's official messaging is explicit that Roco Kingdom has no gacha and does not sell Jinies. That makes money a convenience resource, not a power resource.
The practical priorities for the beta:
- Healing and capture supplies. Running out mid-route costs more time than any shop upgrade.
- Evolution and breeding materials you cannot farm yet.
- Bank the rest. The beta ends; there is no reason to chase a huge balance.
The Reliable Sources
| Source | Effort | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Main quest rewards | Low | The largest guaranteed income in the first hours |
| Selling duplicate collectibles | Low | Check what a vendor actually buys before dumping everything |
| Travelling merchant | Medium | Fixed daily appearances; stock and prices rotate |
| Chests and world pickups | Medium | Worth grabbing on route, not worth a dedicated farm |
| Boss and elite drops | High | Valuable, but gated by level and team quality |
| Side quests | Medium | Good for materials and map knowledge, slower per hour than the main chain |
The pattern is simple: quests fund the early game, collectibles fund the midgame, and bosses fund the parts of the beta that need preparation.
A Simple Daily Route
If you want a repeatable loop without turning the beta into a job:
- Turn in quests first. Do not walk past a completed objective to pick flowers.
- Clear your bag. Sell duplicates and low-value collectibles at the town vendor.
- Visit the merchant. The travelling merchant appears on a fixed schedule in the Chinese build — 08:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 server time. Buy only what you will use this session.
- Run one boss or elite route. Pick a target your team can clear consistently; a 90% clear rate beats a 50% "better" route.
- Stop. There is no daily login streak to protect and no battle pass to finish.
The merchant schedule is documented for the Chinese build and may differ in the global beta. Check the in-game clock rather than trusting a fixed timer.
What Not to Do
- Do not farm one spawn for hours. Quest rewards outpace it in the first province, and the beta's time is better spent learning systems.
- Do not sell evolution materials. They are worth more used than sold, and the evolution guide explains why.
- Do not buy cosmetics first. The wardrobe is permanent-looking but the account is not.
- Do not trust "currency generator" sites. There is no player trading, so there is no legitimate market for bought coins.
- Do not ignore the merchant because the stock looks random. One useful stack can save a long detour.
Money and the Wider Economy
Two structural facts shape every farming decision:
No player trading. You cannot sell a rare Jini to another player or buy one with coins. The trading guide covers what replaces it: NPC vendors, the merchant and account-bound rewards.
No gacha. Tencent's official line is that the game does not sell Jinies, and the beta has no shop. That removes the usual "best use of premium currency" question entirely. Your only currency is time.
The result is a refreshingly flat economy: the best money route is also the best progression route, because both are driven by quests and exploration.
Is There a Fast Money Exploit?
No documented one, and this page will not invent one. The beta's economy is small enough that a "fast" route saves minutes, not hours. If a video promises millions of coins in an hour, it is either outdated, region-specific, or fake.
The closest thing to an exploit is efficiency: complete quests in a route that also passes chests and spawn zones, so one trip pays three times. The map guide lists the spawn zones; the quests guide lists the chains.
