Roco Kingdom Updates: Patch History and Seasons
The Roco Kingdom timeline: Chinese launch, Season 4, the global test and what each update changed, with the dates that are actually confirmed.
Quick answer: the Chinese version launched on March 26, 2026, ran on a seasonal cadence and reached Season 4 by October 22, 2026. The global version's only public milestone so far is the Quack Quack Test on October 27, 2026. Tencent has not published a global patch cadence, so the Chinese season dates are the best guide to how often content lands.

Confirmed Timeline
| Date | Update | Region |
|---|---|---|
| March 26, 2026 | Official launch | China |
| August 26, 2026 | Global test announced, sign-ups open | Global |
| October 20, 2026 | Sign-ups close | Global |
| October 22, 2026 | Season 4 season sprint | China |
| October 23, 2026 | Access confirmations begin | Global |
| October 27, 2026 | Quack Quack Test opens | Global |
That is the whole confirmed list. Anything else circulating — "Season 5 date", "global launch window", "console beta" — is speculation.
The Chinese Season Model
The live build runs seasons with a battle pass, a seasonal story beat and a rotating event calendar. Season 4's sprint event started October 22, which suggests seasons run roughly six to eight weeks. That is inference from one data point; Tencent has not published the cadence.
What each season has added so far:
- A new Jini or evolution line
- A seasonal event with a cosmetic reward track
- Balance changes to the element chart
- A new lord or trial rotation
The global build does not have the shop or the pass, so it will not follow the same content drop until launch.
The global test runs a cut-down build without purchases. It is not a simultaneous release, and its patch notes will not match the Chinese season notes.
What the Global Test Changed
The test build is the first English and Japanese client. Its notable differences from the Chinese build:
- No shop, no battle pass, no premium currency
- English and Japanese UI only
- A reduced story slice
- PC and mobile progress sync enabled
- Ranked PvP disabled
Balance in the test is not final. Tencent's own FAQ says the build is under active development, which is the standard wording for "numbers will change".
How to Track Updates
- Steam news is the official channel for global announcements and patch notes.
- The official site carries event banners and the download links.
- The in-game mailbox delivers compensation and event mail, usually with a 30-day expiry.
- The launcher shows the current build number; a mismatch with the news post means the patch has not propagated to your region yet.
Do not rely on the Chinese patch notes for global timing. They are useful for knowing what content exists, not when it arrives.
Reading a Patch Note
Three sections matter:
- Balance — element and skill changes, which can invalidate a team
- New content — Jini, regions, lords
- Fixes — the ones that affect progression, especially quest blockers
Cosmetic and UI changes are usually safe to skip. If a patch changes the type chart, the chart on this site is regenerated rather than patched by hand.
What Comes Next
The honest answer is that nobody outside Tencent knows. The plausible sequence is:
- More global test waves
- A launch date announcement
- Console builds
- A global season 1 with the shop enabled
None of those has a date. The release date page tracks the official signals, and the beta FAQ tracks the test itself.
